A FEW NIGHTS IN CANNES


I recently had the pleasure of staying at the iconic Carlton Cannes Hotel for a few nights, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the luxurious accommodations, incredible service, to the stunning views, I was fortunate enough to enjoy not only the hotel itself but also the beautiful beach club and Sunday brunch. During my stay, I had the opportunity to capture some stunning film photographs, showcasing the elegance of the hotel and the vibrant atmosphere of Cannes. It truly was a perfect blend of relaxation and inspiration - these were some of my favourite photographs I've ever taken on film.

From the moment I arrived at the Carlton Cannes Hotel, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The doormen, always friendly and welcoming, set the tone for an exceptional stay, offering a genuine and personal touch that immediately made me feel at ease. They saw me with my camera, trying to frame the perfect shot, and even generously offered to pose, if I wanted. As I stepped into the lobby, I was embraced by the soothing sounds of peaceful music, creating a calm and serene atmosphere that perfectly complemented the hotel’s luxurious elegance. The attentive customer service throughout my stay was impeccable, with every detail thoughtfully considered to ensure my comfort. As a film photography enthusiast, I couldn't help but capture the peaceful ambiance and architectural beauty around me. The combination of the welcoming staff, tranquil atmosphere, and exceptional service made an unforgettable first impression, and as a historic and beautiful place, there was endless inspiration for film photography.


The Carlton Cannes Hotel has a rich history, dating back to 1911, and has long been a symbol of luxury and elegance on the French Riviera. Over the years, it has hosted celebrities, dignitaries, and countless unforgettable events. Recently, the hotel underwent a stunning renovation, reopening its doors to guests with a refreshed yet timeless charm. The renovations have beautifully preserved the hotel’s historic features while introducing modern comforts and luxurious touches. During my stay, I was immersed in a truly relaxing and peaceful atmosphere, with the combination of the hotel’s iconic elegance and the serene coastal setting offering the perfect escape. It was a truly special experience, and the calm, refined environment made it an ideal place to unwind and take in the beauty of Cannes. One of the reasons was the fantastic food at the hotel. I don't usually order room service, but this spread was sublime.

The most beautiful room service at the Carlton Cannes

The Carlton Cannes Hotel’s beach club was so beautiful that I found myself returning multiple times to capture its serene atmosphere in different light. Whether it was the soft glow of the morning sun or the golden hues of the evening, the changing light created stunning new perspectives. One of the highlights was the perfect view of the iconic hotel from the beach club, with its elegant architecture beautifully reflected in the shimmering waters. The combination of the breathtaking scenery and the tranquil atmosphere made it impossible to resist revisiting, ensuring I captured the essence of this perfect spot from every angle on my film camera.

And then, we brunch...


The Sunday brunch buffet at the Carlton Cannes Hotel was nothing short of spectacular, with over 100 items to choose from, one of the highlights of the stay. The spread was a true feast for the senses, and I couldn’t help but be captivated by the impressive pastry dessert section. There were five different kinds of pavlovas, each more beautiful than the last, alongside three varieties of flan that looked almost too perfect to eat. It was a true indulgence for the eyes, and honestly, it felt more like a feast for my camera than for me. The vibrant colors and exquisite presentation made it impossible to resist capturing every detail before diving in. It was the kind of brunch where every bite and every photograph was a delight. To top it all off, the terrace at the Riviera Restaurant offers a stunning view of the Promenade de la Croisette, adding an extra layer of luxury to this already unforgettable experience. Every bite, every photograph, and every moment was a true delight.

My stay at the Carlton Cannes Hotel was truly a beautiful and luxurious experience from start to finish. The combination of impeccable service, stunning views, and the serene atmosphere made it the perfect place to unwind and relax. From the peaceful beach club to the indulgent Sunday brunch, every moment felt special. As a film photographer, I was inspired by the historic beauty, mixed with modern elegance at the Carlton Cannes and was incredibly happy that I had brought my film camera with me. I can’t wait to return, not only to relax and enjoy the elegant ambiance once more but also to take more breathtaking photos on my film camera, further capturing the magic of this unforgettable destination.
