"The best fashion show is definitely on the street. Always has been, and always will be."

PARIS FASHION WEEK x FILM PHOTOGRAPHY

Paris Fashion Week always promises an unforgettable spectacle, and the AW2025 womenswear collection was no exception. Held from March 3-11, 2025, the event brought together some of the most stunning runway shows and street style moments. As a photographer, I had the pleasure of capturing the essence of Parisian street style fashion, inspired by their respective shows. From the grand Hermes leather looks, to the effortlessly cool Miu Miu style, each show inspired its own distinct and captivating streetstyle.

A CINEMATIC JOURNEY THROUGH PARIS FASHION WEEK AW2025

HERMES STREET STYLE

When I arrived at the Hermes show, the atmosphere was charged with sophistication and elegance. The street style was polished, yet relaxed — a true reflection of Parisian chic. The blend of luxury with minimalism inspired me to capture every moment with a touch of cinematic flair. The way light fell on the streets and the refined elegance of the attendees perfectly matched my editorial approach to Paris fashion photography.

Unlike anything else, fashion photography at Paris Fashion Week is an immersive experience. The opportunity to freeze these fleeting moments on film gives a timeless quality to the images. Fashion and street style come alive through the lens, and for a photographer, it’s a thrilling pursuit that pushes the boundaries of art and creativity. And when you're shooting on film, it adds an extra layer of challenge and satisfaction to the entire process.

A few standout moments include capturing the Babani twins, renowned for their iconic and avant-garde styling of Hermes bags in their hair—an unforgettable blend of high fashion and creativity. I also had the privilege of photographing fashion influencers Gabrielle Causnesil, Tamara and Violet Grace, to name just a few, whose grace and elegance truly shine through the lens of film photography in Paris. These moments have been nothing short of inspiring, highlighting the intersection of fashion, art, and personality.

PFW FILM PHOTOGRAPHY AT MIU MIU

PARIS FILM PHOTOGRAPHY x MIUMIU

Then came the Miu Miu show — a completely different energy, but just as inspiring. The street style at Miu Miu was more youthful and daring, with attendees experimenting with textures, colors, and silhouettes. I was captivated by the contrast between the pristine looks paired with the daring raw and unfiltered moments of Paris street style.

Shooting Paris film photography, in particular, brings out an intimate quality in the subject that digital images can sometimes miss. Every frame feels more personal, as if the viewer is part of the scene. The distinct, grainy feel of film enhances the authenticity of each image, making Paris film photography feel like an art form in itself. There's something magical about capturing fleeting moments in this way — the texture, the depth, and the grain all work together to create a more soulful and timeless representation of fashion.

Why take Paris fashion photography on film?

Taking fashion photos, particularly fast moving streetwear style, on film is not without its challenges. The process requires patience, precision, and an understanding of the art form. But the satisfaction when you develop those images is unparalleled. In Paris, the weather was surprisingly pleasant for this time of year, making it even more of a joy to roam the streets and document the incredible street style. The sun created some beautiful shadows, that I sometimes enjoy using to create some dimension in my film photographs.

As someone who loves both art and photography, Paris Fashion Week offers endless inspiration. The fashion and branding work in Paris is a playground for photographers. From high-fashion streetwear to classic couture, every corner offers an opportunity to create something unique. Paris film photography allows me to expand my creative horizons, embracing the art of capturing the city's spirit through the lens of fashion.

For me, fashion and street style photography at Paris Fashion Week is a fun passion project. Each show, each street corner, every smile captured on film — all come together to tell the story of this vibrant city and its ever-evolving relationship with fashion. The beauty of Paris film photography is that it allows me to tell that story in my own way, with each frame a small piece of a much bigger narrative.

Paris, with its charm and allure, continues to be a muse for photographers and fashion lovers alike, myself included. Whether it’s the refined elegance of Hermes or the bold experimentation of Miu Miu, Paris Fashion Week AW2025 was a testament to the power of fashion as an artistic expression. For those who understand the magic of Paris fashion photography and Paris film photography, this city will forever be a place of infinite inspiration.
